- US free trade agreements1 have expanded Florida’s export opportunities. Approximately one third of this exports go to countries that have trade agreements with United States, including the recently trade agreement signed with Colombia.
- The Free Trade Agreement with Colombia has been very successful in increasing the consumer and industrial exports. In fact electronics experienced a growth of approx. 31% between 2013 and 2014.
- The Free Trade Agreement will continue to drive a healthy volume of trade between the two countries as well as benefits in terms of labor, trade policies and expanded access to service markets.
- Colombia is the 3rd top Florida export market.
